Program : Several 2½ - hour programs on People Development.

There have been around half a dozen programs here for senior managers / executives on Self-Development, Values for People Development, etc and each program has been a great success. In a recent program, senior managers from Tata Power, BBMB etc also participated and were very satisfied. For example, Mr A K Prashar, Dy Director, Bhakra Beas Mgmt Board, Chandigarh showed profound appreciation and recommended more such programs. (P) B H E L - HRDI

Program : 2½ - hour programs on Spiritual Values and Self Management.

For the level of GM’s, a program on “How to Live A Spiritual Life” was conducted dealing with what is being spiritual, how it is different from being religious, how to practice spiritual values at workplace, how spiritualized attitudes can lead to enlightened behaviour and help in day-to-day life, etc. In another program soon after, young managers attended a program on “Discovering & Managing Oneself”. Both the programs generated lot of active participation from the audience and a young manager Mr B S Sonwane from BHEL, Bhopal later said, “…would like to listen more in future. I have even suggested during our feedback session to GM HRDI that the lecture of Mr Hans Dholakia was a huge eye opener for us and this lecture should be atleast of full day…”.

(Q) JUBILANT ORGANOSYS

Program : Yoga-based program on Attitudes and Mind Management.

Formerly, Vam Organics. In a program on Mind Management & Memory, people from middle and senior levels got valuable tips on constitution and function of human mind, how it is different from brain, the different levels at which it operates and how the higher mind can effectively control and guide the lower sensory mind. Ms S Sinha, Manager-Resources & Training had praise for the balance struck between Science and Spirituality and the participants raised several interesting questions on human mind and behaviour.

The Yoga exercises were really relaxing and helpful...I would recommend this training to others also. It gives me a whole new, unique and the correct way of life, leading from an organized self.

A girl, Jyothi, an avid learner, was unfortunately caught unwell and could not come the second day. A couple of others came for a short while and said they had to leave but would like to attend next such prog.

Srikanth K. : Good training program. If it is out-bound, it will be better...successful prog for Stress Management ( Trainer's Note : On the 2nd day of the first prog, being a Sat., Srikanth also joined in and his presence, like Javid's, was always a help).

Note : Two young participants had serious smoking problems and they shared it with me ; I did my best to inspire them at length with scientific tips to give up smoking, explaining the mind's power to make and break any habit, and the ways to develop wisdom-guided will power. Healing prayers were conducted for them later at night.

Program : Coaching in Yoga-Meditation / Program on Stress Management etc.

The CEO, Mr Manu Sawhney, and about 35 other top-level managers had a sales conference at Taj Rambagh Palace, Jaipur for 3 – 4 days. Morning Yoga classes and a program on Stress Management were conducted with slide show etc.

This generated so much of interest that the client is considering regular Yoga Classes in future. Yogic Surya Namaskar (Sun Salute) with its numerous psycho-somatic and neuro-immunological benefits, fascinated the participants particularly.

Mr Sawhney said he was touched by the trainer’s view that working for long hours these days and then partying hard to recreate, was indeed like “burning the candle of life at both the ends”.
